Instead of panicking when such an error is being displayed we need to maintain out cool and realize that such DLL errors are the result of a software or group of softwares which started acting up on the PC. Now there are softwares which run along as individual components as well as softwares which are required for the necessary functioning of the connected hardware. These are in turn known as driver softwares and sometimes improper driver softwares will also result in the formation of DLL runtime errors.

A noticeable drop in the performance of the PC can be seen when a DLL error crops up. DLL files are simply libraries which contain the instructions for the normal running of the software. So absence of a set of instructions will lead to error messages and slow performance of the PC. Some of the reasons which will result in the display of DLL errors messages are:

  • The memory modules when corrupted will also lead to the formation of DLL errors. Suitable softwares are available which can verify the presence of errors in the memory and if any such errors are found, you can try replacing the erroneous memory modules.
  • One of the last and the most common reasons for DLL problems are due to the infection of the PC with virus or spyware. Malicious softwares always work by changing the integral nature of the software according to their needs and making suitable modifications on the registry.

DLL errors are even known to be caused by the difference in the version numbers. That means even when the DLL files are the same, they might contain different set of instructions and it may lead to error messages being displayed. Hence care must be taken always to invest on newer software for the computer, it is with the older softwares that older DLL files are present.
